Engr. Adamu Abdulahi Ayni was born on December 3rd, 1975 in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. He is an indigene of Kogi State and the last born of seven (7) children.

PERSONAL LIFE

Adamu is a practicing Muslim and is married to two wives. He is blessed with four children.

His hobbies include; football, internet surfing & reading.

EARLY LIFE

He began his primary Education at Islamic Primary School, Owelle in Ankpa LGA in 1982. He thereafter proceeded to St. Charles College, Ankpa in 1989 and later transferred to Government College Kaduna in 1993 where he completed his secondary Education.

Engr.  Adamu gained admission into prestigious Bayero University Kano in 1997 to study Civil Engineering. He graduated with a degree in civil Engineering in 2003. Engr. Adamu obtained his Master’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering in 2008 from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

MEMBERSHIP OF PROFESSIONAL BODIES

Engr. Adamu is a registered Engineer With the Council for the Regulation of Engineering. (COREN)

He is also a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and International Research and Development Institute (MIRDI)

CAREER

He worked as an assistant site Engineer with the Bauchi State Ministry of Works and Transport for a period of one year thereafter, continued his career in Ankpa Local Government Council, Engr. Adamu joined the service of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja in 2007 as an assistant Lecturer and rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer. He was appointed as substantive Director of Works & Services at Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Kabba in Februrary 2016, a position he held till December, 2016.

Engr. Adamu was appointed as substantive Director of Works & Services of kogi state polytechnic Lokoja in June, 2021. He is the current Director of Works and Services of the Polytechnic.
